The Free North has remained separate and independent of the throne for generations. The free folk resist royal rule and have preserved the local tribal leadership of each region. For many years Tulkas Oxbridge, bastard son and slayer of Tyrant king Maximos was declared King of the Free North, commander of the Broken. With his peasant army he successfully secured the land of the free northfolk and liberated Kilian’s Anchor and the land of the Black Shore.
But his absence has been felt for over a year and the northern clans are again at the brink of war. Shamans and wise men, the Tribal Elders, met to decide on how to proceed on the matter, and weeks passed. Their verdict was announced to all the representatives of each clan. Tulkas is gone, the ancient magics of Quadath and its blade has only gotten them so far, it is about time for every Northerner to take matters into their own hands.
A Northern champion though, even the True one, is not enough to solve all of the North’s problems. Or, more accurately, it is not fair to keep all the fun to himself. There has been reports for creatures and incidents pestering the lands, the result of meddling with the Nexus in 2023 DC. These all go to show that the prophecy has been proven true, the laylines helped the magical land of Quadath flourish once more and it is spilling into our world. Sorcerers and people of intellect are preparing to investigate, and the apparent promise for loot and recognition is drawing heroes like bees to honey…
